Transforming a bungalow with extensive rear and front extensions

Our clients in Shrewton approached us to transform their modest bungalow into a spacious home with extensive rear and front extensions. Starting during the challenging times of COVID, we adapted our approach to ensure the project could move forward safely and efficiently. While we generally prefer to manage the entire build process to maintain quality and continuity, we were flexible in this case, as our client had a relative with a window installation company. This arrangement allowed us to focus on the structural aspects while accommodating the couple’s specific needs.

The original bungalow was massively extended at the rear to house a new kitchen, utility, and bedroom space, creating a large open-plan living area that maximises natural light and connects seamlessly with the garden. This rear home extension has completely transformed the feel of the property, turning it into a bright, airy space perfect for gatherings, relaxation, and entertaining.

The front of the bungalow was also extended, adding a welcoming entrance and additional space that elevates the home’s curb appeal. The result is a harmonious blend of old and new, with a layout tailored to modern living. Despite the unique circumstances, we delivered a high-quality finish, and the clients have since added their personal touches, creating a home that combines style, comfort, and functionality.
